Nirmal Busgopaul
The founding practitioner and a qualified Barrister-at-Law at Busgopaul Chambers.
Me. Nirmal Busgopaul holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Mauritius in 2005, followed by a Master of Laws (LL.M) in International Law with International Relations from the University of Kent, United Kingdom in 2007. Mr. Busgopaul also holds a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) from BPP Law School, London, a key component of legal training in the UK.
He is admitted to practise as a Barrister of the Bar of England & Wales, as well as the Mauritian Bar, and regularly appears before the District Courts, Intermediate Court, Supreme Court of Mauritius, and various quasi-judicial tribunals.
Work
Mr. Busgopaul has acquired international legal experience, having practiced in London in the areas of Immigration Law, Prison Law, and Personal Injury, and in New York, USA, where he was involved in Employment Law matters at a law firm in Manhattan.
As a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, Mr. Busgopaul upholds the highest professional and ethical standards in legal practice. He leads Busgopaul Chambers with a commitment to excellence, integrity, and client-focused representation.
